We are seeking an individual with a robust understanding of civil construction intricacies, particularly in local government initiatives encompassing drainage systems, roadway construction, footway renewal, landscaping enhancements, paving, kerb and gutter installations, traffic management solutions and electrical systems including street lighting setups
Responsibilities:
- Spearhead major projects across the City of Sydney Council's jurisdiction, ensuring adherence to specifications and quality benchmarks.
- Collaborate with on-site teams and stakeholders, facilitating seamless communication and progress tracking.
- Conduct comprehensive assessments of construction materials and costs based on project designs and specifications.
- Drive safety initiatives, ensuring strict compliance with regulatory standards and monitoring progress for optimal risk management.
- Liaise with council representatives, streamlining approvals and ensuring project alignment with client needs.
- Develop and implement robust project management systems and procedures, leveraging digital tools for efficient planning and scheduling.
- Oversee quality control measures, maintaining meticulous documentation and addressing design challenges proactively.
Role Requirements:
- Academic background in Civil Engineering (Bachelors degree or higher).
- Minimum 3 years of hands-on experience in Civil Engineering, showcasing a strong command of project management principles.
- Proficiency in software tools such as AutoCAD
- Demonstrated ability to meet deadlines, document projects effectively, manage resources efficiently, and navigate complex projects
