Due to continued growth and the increase in projects, we are now hiring a Project Manager to oversee the Construction sector. Because we value working together as a team, our experienced construction professionals will work with, support and guide you.
You will be working closely with the General Manager to lead and develop the project team as well as working closely with key stakeholders and clients.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Manage a range of projects, including budgets and client construction programmes
- Ensure delivery of project on time and within budget; control reporting, monitoring labour, materials, plant & equipment and direction of site supervisors
- Analyse Tender documentation, obtain quotes, by estimate and/or by obtaining quoted works, sourcing tender options in line with budget parameters
- Ability to communicate effectively with a wide range of both internal and external stakeholders, to ensure high levels of quality and professionalism are being maintained for best industry standards
- Maintaining a safe workplace and ensuring WHS requirements and documentation are implemented and maintained
- Management of project team including but not limited to other Project Managers, Project Officers, Site Managers and Subcontractors
- Ensure effective cost control and efficient running of projects
- Review and vet all quotes and estimates, assisting with programming of works, construction methodologies and suggestions to reduce costs and avoid time delays
For your application to be successful you will need to be able to demonstrate the following:
- Certificate III in Trade Industry (Desirable)
- Certificate IV in Building and Construction (Desirable)
- Extensive experience in relevant Senior Operational Management position (minimum 5 years)
- Proven ability to manage projects, from scope of works, through to budget management and resource scheduling
- Strong proven qualities of leadership, integrity, and influencing a team and proven ability to build rapport with both internal and external relationships.
- Strong analytical, interpersonal, written and verbal communication skills
- Working knowledge of Quality, Safety and Environment Management Systems
- Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite
- Experience with Procore advantageous
