Our Project & Development Services (PDS) business line, has a key role in managing and delivering hundreds of capital works projects across Australia.
As a result of business expansion, we are now seeking a Project Manager in to join our Darwin team on a 12 month contract ensuring that JLL will successfully deliver outstanding projects.

As a Project Manager within our Project & Development Services (PDS) business line, you will take total responsibility for the effective management of all phases of a project from initial establishment to handover and project closure. An Overview of the role:
JLL are seeking an experienced Project Manager for a client site role in the utilities industry with experience in some or all of the follow areas:
- Procurement.
- Commercial Agreements.
- Process analysis and drafting.
- Template drafting in Word and Excel.
- Compliance management.
- Project Management.
- Register administration.
- Chapter 5 NT National Electricity Rules
The functions will include:
- Project Administration for Major Connections.
- Create new project in appropriate systems and documents.
- Communicate project creation to all stakeholders.
- Create new project phase in appropriate systems and documents.
- Administration of Executive and Ministerial Correspondence.
- Review and administration of Connection Registers and reports.
- Review existing registers and up to date as required.
- Administer registers and chapter 5 reporting requirements.
- Implement register enhancement.
- Implement registered data into cyclic reports.
- Administer action items from the renewable steering committee.
- Issue email correspondence communicating action items to appropriate stakeholder.
- Assist with collating information for the Large Connection Application Report.
- Assist with drafting the Large Connection Application Report.
- Follow up on outstanding action items.
- Collate Action items for Renewable steering committee.
- Drafting Processes.
- Review and document existing processes.
- Draft and implement new processes.
- Communicate changes to key stakeholders.
- Publish process documentation on PWC internet connection page.
- Drafting template documents.
- Review and amend existing template document.
- Draft new template documents to support work practices.
- Communicate changes to key stakeholders
- Publish process documentation on PWC internet connection page.
Whist desirable but not a prerequisite of the position the project manage will be expected to develop a working knowledge of the Chapter 5 NT National Electricity Rules.
- Total responsibility for effective management of all project phases
- Ensure monthly project deliverables are completed, including delivery plans, status reports, cost reports and meeting agendas
- Contract administration of all vendors in a professional manner
- Represent the best interests of the client from inception to completion of projects
- Create an environment where all team members are encouraged and motivated to contribute
- Maintain positive relationships will all stakeholders and communicate via actions and examples.
- Working alongside internal client staff/and or other contract personnel
- Establish project reporting mechanisms and regularly report to stakeholders
- Provide advice on project risks
- Coordination of other (internal/ external) Project Managers
- Undertake reviews / analysis of existing client project management systems and processes to determine strengths and weaknesses, report on findings, and make recommendations for short-term and long-term improvement.
Sounds like you? This is what we are looking for:
- Degree or relevant qualification in Project or Construction Management related discipline or related fields and 5 years’ experience as a minimum.
- Confidence to manage project delivery from inception to closure
- Experience in managing cost reporting systems
- Understanding of the utilities industry
- Understanding of legal environment within projects with respect to planning, commercial aspects and delivery constraints
- Exceptional communication and stakeholder engagement ability, being able to assess basic client needs
- Ability to carry out commercial negotiations with contractors, suppliers, consultants and authorities
- Understand our obligations for complying with ISO14001, ISO45001, ISO9001 and Environmental Health and Safety legislation
- Hold or the ability to obtain a valid driver’s license
- at all times while performing the Services abide by the policies, protocols and procedures of PWC.
