Project Manager - Construction - Subcontractor

Our client a manufacturer and installer / subcontractor, predominately in the residential and heritage construction industry are seeking a Project Manager to join their dynamic team and play a key role in the business.

You will be part of a small team, in a key leadership role, which in turn will have a direct impact on the business.

As a Project Manager, you will not only oversee the successful execution of projects but also play a pivotal role in shaping their business. You will also have the opportunity to implement new processes and systems. 

Key Responsibilities:

• Manage projects from inception to completion, with the added responsibility of implementing new processes and systems that will drive growth and efficiency in their business.
• Ensure projects are completed on time and within budget, enhancing their reputation for delivering high-quality custom solutions.
• Efficiently coordinate site measurements, factory work, and installation activities to meet project timelines and client expectations.
• Act as the bridge between clients and their team, facilitating discussions on project timing, accounts, and scope variations, and ensuring sign-offs for shop sheets and layouts. 
• Supervise daily job tasks for factory and installation teams, assign responsibilities, and monitor their progress.  

Qualifications and Skills:

• Proven experience as a Project Manager, Operations Manager or General Manager either from a builder or a sub - contractor background, ie joinery, kitchens, benchtops, flooring, stone, or landscape. 
• Previous experience managing and mentoring a team
• Financial acumen and experience pricing and budgetary management.
• Exceptional organizational and time-management skills.
• Strong communication and customer service skills.
• Proficiency in project management software and experience implementing new processes.
• Good knowledge of construction materials and processes.
• Strong problem-solving and critical thinking skills.
