Our client, a Local Government organisation based in Toowoomba, services a regional population of 167,657 and employs a team of more than 1800 staff. A vacancy currently exists in the Finance and Business Strategy Group for a Project Manager for a 6 month contract (with possible extension) to commence as soon as possible.
Reporting directly to the Principal, Technology Services, the Project Manager –will play a key role in leading and managing the successful delivery of a project aimed at transitioning the organisation from the Microsoft Skype for Business platform to Microsoft Teams.
An hourly rate of $100.00 per hour (plus Super) is on offer for this opportunity.
Working under limited direction, the successful candidate will be responsible for:
- Establishing and managing the successful delivery of the transition to Microsoft Teams project whilst meeting agreed business outcomes.
- Managing project performance parameters such as cost, schedule, budget, risks and constraints.
- Developing, executing and monitoring project lifecycle deliverable documents and reporting such as but not limited to Project Plans, Schedule and Progress Reporting.
- Managing, assessing and reviewing the standards and work of other staff, project milestones, project team, professionals and external consultants.
- Undertaking procurement processes to engage project resources and managing those contracts throughout the project.
- Effectively communicating with and managing project stakeholders.
- Bachelor’s degree or other formal qualification (such as a Diploma) in Business Administration, Project Management, Information Technology or related field from a recognised tertiary institution.
- High degree of understanding the phases and systems required to deliver significant business improvement projects and organisational change management practices, following industry accepted frameworks such as PMBOK.
- The ability to prepare technically and commercially accurate tender documents, solicit bids, and evaluate responses (liaising with customers for technical/quality support) using the Queensland Information Technology Contracting (QITC) framework.
