About the job
The ideal candidate will be responsible for the day to day management, coordination, administration and financial control of the projects including planning, coordinating, and implementing projects within the decided-upon budget, timeline, and scope. They will also effectively monitor and present project updates to relevant stakeholders, clients, or project team members. Working as part of a small team, alongside and under the supervision of our Regional Manager.
Responsibilities
Successful completion of projects within the parameters of program time and budget
Prepare budgets, trade comparisons and lettings, cost reports, head and subcontract progress claims & variations for approval by the Regional Manager.
Liaise and keep good relationships with clients, superintendents, engineers, subcontractors and suppliers.
Prepare and manage subcontract agreements, claims and variations as per contract terms and legislation.
Negotiate variations to the head contract with clients.
Provide support to the Site Manager/Foreman in relation to planning, timely procurement, production, management of quality, safety & environmental matters.
Prepare monthly job cost reports for Regional Manager.

Qualifications
Hold a Bachelor of Building Management, Engineering or any other relevant qualification (highly desirable) and be eligible for a QBCC Supervisor's Licence.
A minimum of 5 years experience in the Construction Industry in a similar role.
Competent knowledge of commercial, industrial construction processes and practices.
Strong business acumen in project planning and management.
Knowledge of OH&S legislation & codes of practice relevant to the Construction industry.
Possess excellent communication & organizational skills and personal attributes.
Hold a current drivers licence and be willing to travel to different sites.
