This family office balances modern thinking and traditional values, creating new developments for either sale or to create recurring income. They operate nationally with a significant number of projects based in regional NSW and Victoria, together with other states in Australia. With the growth of the business, the Directors want to move away from managing delivery and spend more time of acquisition and asset regeneration.
About the role
The Project Manager will play a pivotal role in digging into the detail of the projects and risks are identified and carefully managed. There is a significant national project portfolio including residential, industrial, commercial, and large format retail. Interstate travel will be required to manage the portfolio. This is a growth opportunity, to move into a bigger role taking greater responsibility around delivery once you prove yourself in the role.
Key responsibilities
The key responsibilities of this role include, but are not limited to:
- Oversee and manage the design process efficiently with Director input.
- Managing and integrate tenant briefs and purchaser’s changes into documentation.
- Lead and administer construction tender process.
- Handling RFIs (Requests for Information), SIs (Site Instructions), NODs (Notices of Delay), and EOTs (Extensions of Time).
- Managing variations and assess progress claims.
- Assist with settlement and tenant management.
- Oversee practical completion, defecting processes, and settlement management.
- Assist the business by creating productive relationships with consultants, builders, councils, purchasers and tenants.
This role requires an individual with drive, tenacity and the ability to take ownership of project delivery. Someone who is detail oriented and enjoys structure will be a great fit. Other candidate requirements include but are not limited to:
- Competent in project delivery, from design development, various types of procurement methods including, design and construct, cost plus and fixed lump sum.
- Construction Administration and/or on-site experience from working in head contractor background.
- Ideally exposure to delivering projects in Multi Unit Residential, Industrial, Commercial and Large Format Retail.
