Our Federal Government client has a requirement for Security Infrastructure project management resources with project/construction management background who has skills in Project delivery with an understanding of security measures in building projects.
As the Project Manager, you must have an understanding in the administration of contracts, building regulation compliance, fee negotiation with specialist contractors, management of allocated budgets and be able to project manage locally and remotely. The role is to keep the project delivery progressing (on time and on budget) whilst protecting the integrity of the design and ensuring full compliance with security measures/regulations.
Skills & experience
- Good understanding and experience in delivering construction and physical security Infrastructure projects
- Develop statement of work for external contractors
- Draft contract Work Orders
- Demonstrated ability to understand and monitor associated budgets
- Experience in reviewing documentation and drawings to enable the implementation of building works to security standards:
- review diagram(s) and drawings to reflect the Department’s security specifications
- review and update “as built” documentation and drawings
- review architectural designs as directed
- review of design and engineering documentation issued to DSD by external entities and service providers
- manage project budgets and reporting to key stakeholders
- manage the project handover and close outs
