The role
Reporting to the Program Manager Operations, you will have skills to assist in preparing a requirements/scope/plan for a build and refurbishment.
The Project Manager manages the delivery of the project from start to finish. Key responsibilities of the Project Manager include project team management, scope management, risk and issue management and stakeholder management.
This role is accountable to the Project Sponsor for successful delivery of the project in line with the approved project management plan.
The key responsibilities- Assess business requirements, formulate business cases, and define detailed project scopes.
- Collaborate with project stakeholders, including representatives from various departments, to establish project objectives, scope, and deliverables.
- Create and maintain project plans, schedules, and other necessary documents adhering to the PMO framework.
- Build project teams, delegate tasks, and oversee deliverables to ensure alignment with project schedules.
- Identify and mitigate project risks, issues, and dependencies.
- Control project scope to prevent scope creep.
- Manage project costs within approved budgets.
- Provide regular project status updates and reports to stakeholders, including sponsors, project teams, and the project management office.
- Coordinate closely with vendors to ensure successful delivery of contracted services and products.
- Monitor project progress and make necessary adjustments to maintain alignment with objectives.
- Escalate issues to the project sponsor when necessary.
- Collaborate with the Operations Project Team on various project support tasks across all projects.
- A proven track record in leadership and sound knowledge of project management processes with emphasis in a multidisciplinary organisation
- A high standard of technical knowledge and experience in build construction, refurbishment and facilities management
- A demonstrated ability to encourage safety, quality, innovation, cooperation, and continuous improvement throughout your team.
- Well-developed analytical and problem-solving skills.
- A high level of initiative and drive.
