Job description

Paydock is a dynamic fintech scaleup, dedicated to delivering industry leading orchestration solutions to financial institutions, major household brand retailers and non-profit organizations worldwide. Our teams are located internationally, with a global presence spanning 11 countries. We embody a culture of collaboration, innovation and high-performance, relentlessly pushing the boundaries of fintech innovation to make a meaningful impact on a global scale.
We are looking for an ICT Project Manager to join our team. As an ICT Project Manager, you will spearhead the technical dimensions of our projects within the domain of payment orchestration. Your primary responsibility will be to ensure that our technical strategies, processes, and outcomes align with our company goals while upholding the highest standards of project excellence. This role demands a deep understanding of payment systems and card schemes, with a particular focus on integrating third-party solutions.
You will have the opportunity to work with global leaders, payment service providers and technology vendors across Europe, APAC, US and other markets while being part of the next generation of payments for merchants and the industry.
How you will make an impact:
    • Evaluate the technical viability of solution designs proposed by the architecture team.
    • Actively participate in stand-up meetings with project-focused engineering teams to monitor project progress.
    • Present and discuss technical solutions during client interactions, championing the team's expertise.
    • Collaborate with clients to grasp their requirements, explore potential features, and recommend optimal implementation approaches within the project framework.
    • Deliver comprehensive reports to the executive leadership, highlighting the project-focused team's performance.
    • Conduct regular coordination meetings with leads across different time zones, ensuring seamless project execution.
    • Evaluate and measure the project-focused team's performance against set benchmarks.
    • Critically assess project and business decisions within the payment orchestration domain.
    • Efficiently distribute and manage project-focused work assignments among various engineering teams.
    • Proactively identify and address obstacles and conflicts impeding project-focused initiatives.
    • Represent the technical stance of the teams in client meetings, emphasizing the project-centric perspective.
How you will add value:
    • In-depth knowledge and experience in the domain of payment orchestration.
    • Proven experience in providing technical leadership and guidance to technical teams.
    • Ability to make informed decisions on complex technical matters, demonstrating strategic thinking.
    • Familiarity with third-party payment systems, card schemes, and related industry standards.
    • Excellent communication skills to effectively convey complex technical concepts to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
    • Strong presentation skills for representing the team in client meetings.
    • Experience in managing geographically dispersed teams and coordinating work efficiently.
    • Ability to allocate tasks based on the technical skills of team members.
    • Advanced analytical skills to measure and evaluate the performance of the engineering team.
