Our Government client is seeking to engage a Project Manager on a contract for 12 months.
Position Overview
Task Description
The Urban Ventures team in the SLA requires the services of an experienced Project Manager to manage the West Belconnen Landfill Capping and Development project as well as provide assistance, high level advice and support for various projects within the West Belconnen Joint Venture (WBJV).
The role will be required to take on the day-to-day project management responsibilities for the West Belconnen Landfill Capping and Development Project including taking a lead role in the development of Business Cases and Cabinet submissions related to the WBJV.
The SLA is seeking the provision of a single (1) contractor to undertake the tasks described which is anticipated to require up to 3-4 working days each week. The allocation of work effort will be determined by the SLA Authorized Officer – Development Director Urban Ventures – in consultation with the provider during the work period and will be governed by the SLA’s workload requirements during the period of the contract.
The Project Manager role will be an in-house position, however is flexible in the location of the work environment which may require attendance at the SLA’s office. The office is in ACT and will involve working with other project officers in the SLA, other Government Directorate Project Officers and stakeholders from Ginninderry JV, for an initial 12-month period (Feb 2023 to Feb 2024).
A further extension to the contract may be negotiated between the parties at the conclusion of the initial contract period. Any extension will be subject to a value-for-money assessment at the conclusion of the initial contract period.
An appropriate workstation and computer will be provided at no cost.
