Address Join a large Federal Government Department as IT Project Manager! Your new company This large scale, core Federal agency based in Canberra City currently has multiple vacancies for IT Project Managers to work as part of their Digital Business Division. Your new role
Develop and manage project plans, external providers, timelines, and deliverables.
Deliver successful programs and projects using methodologies like PRINCE2, PMP, Agile, SAFe or Managing Successful Programs.
Effectively manage and mitigate risks across multiple projects to ensure alignment with project business case and allocated budget.
Provide strong leadership, advice, and stewardship across programs involving multiple project streams.
Ensure timely, effective, and transparent communication with the team, director, and other internal and external stakeholders regarding project timelines.
Prepare reports, artefacts, and documentation for Project Boards, Senior Executives, or Governance requirements.
Undertake Project Manager activities as required to fill gaps or provide additional expertise.
Ensure compliance with relevant governance arrangements associated with ICT projects.
Commit to undertaking peer review and being peer-reviewed.
What you'll need to succeed
Essential
1. Demonstrated experience delivering digital projects using agile techniques or other project management methodologies whilst mitigating risks and managing issues.
2. Demonstrated ability to communicate effectively, transparently, and timely to project boards, senior executive and other project stakeholders through project reporting, artefacts and governance documentation.
3. Excellent interpersonal skills, teamwork skills, including the ability to communicate clearly and concisely in both written and oral form with a range of people including business analysts, user acceptance testers, developers, and business stakeholders.
4. Demonstrated ability to maximise team efficiency and collaboration to maintain backlogs and meet sprint and release plan deadlines
Desirable
1. Experience in managing data-based ICT projects.
2. Experience in Azure DevOps
