Established in 2003, Ninti One Limited (Ninti) works with First Nations peoples and government, organisations and businesses to achieve social and economic development outcomes through research, innovation and engagement in Australia – and more recently in a range of sectors across the Pacific and Asia. With over 30 staff, supported by a progressive Board and Executive Leadership Team, Ninti has offices in Adelaide and Alice Springs and staff and associates based in other States and Territories.
Reporting to the Senior Project Manager, this project management role will work closely with clients and contractors and is responsible for the day-to-day management of research and evaluation projects. The role has a focus on high quality project management and execution including client and stakeholder management. You will be taking a key role in the planning, development and monitoring of data collection and client contract deliverables. You will enjoy managing all aspects of a project from business proposals, delivery plans, project budget, risk, status reports and stakeholder liaison. No day will be the same balancing competing priorities and managing multiple projects simultaneously whilst adapting to changing circumstances and project requirements.
Key responsibilities include:
- lead the overall management of projects, including planning, reporting, product and service delivery and managing suppliers and contracts;
- work closely with funding partners to ensure compliance with agreements and ensure all reporting is delivered in a timely manner;
- manage and work closely with project partners, external contractors, and other suppliers to ensure their delivery meets contract requirements and is on-track, in-scope and within budget;
- provide high-level engagement strategy and planning and facilitate timely and relevant connections with project partners, contractors, suppliers and community as needed;
- develop and manage project budget, finances and accounts;
- identify and develop strategic solutions for emerging issues and risks;
- work closely with communications, operations and strategy functions to ensure projects continue to align with Ninti’s broader direction and strategies.
Applications are sought from candidates with understanding of the cultural, political, economic and social issues affecting Aboriginal and/or Torres Strait Islander peoples. The ideal candidate will have relevant project and contract management expertise, with a demonstrated ability to develop and disseminate complex project documentation, reports, and correspondence, and to deliver project objectives. Expert communication, interpersonal and stakeholder skills combined with demonstrable ability to liaise and negotiate at senior management/executive levels, and to inform and influence a range of project partners, stakeholders, and end-users. An ability to work independently and collaboratively to deliver outcomes and solve problems is essential. Knowledge of government grants systems and processes is desirable.
