The Opportunity
Hall Contracting is currently seeking a Project Manager to join their team in the Marshall Islands. This role will involve contributing to an upcoming coastal protection project aimed at enhancing resilience and reducing vulnerability in one of the world's smallest and most vulnerable nations. This presents a unique opportunity to make a meaningful impact in the marine industry, taking ownership of your role and adding your personal touch to coastal protection projects in the Marshall Islands. The project is set to begin in July 2024, with works on site commencing in January 2025 and is anticipated to run for 12 to 14 months.
Note: *This role will be on a FIFO basis with a 4:2 roster.
Travel and accommodation will be provided by the company*
Key Responsibilities
- Oversee and manage construction engineering tasks to guarantee timely and cost-effective project completion.
- Facilitate communication between clients and other key stakeholders.
- Ensuring a strong safety and environmental culture.
- Project planning and scheduling.
- Managing project logistics, budgets and predict expenditures.
- Contracts management.
- Ensuring client and statutory specifications are being met.
- Compile and manage project documentation and quality records.
About You:
- Tertiary qualifications in Engineering, Construction Management, or a related field (essential)
- Proven experience in civil, marine, or dredging projects (essential)
- Located in Townsville or Southeast QLD (preferred).
- Experience in working at remote locations.
- Solid understanding of project logistics
- Highly knowledgeable of relevant construction methodologies and standards.
- Possess strong written and verbal communication skills and a proactive working approach.
- Strong commitment to safety and upholding company ethics and values
