About the Role

As the Training Coordinator you will oversee the coordination of vocational training and foundation skills programs, ensuring they are of high quality and delivered with a focus on operational excellence, exceptional customer experience, and profitability. You will lead a team of trainers and assessors to become a provider of choice by fostering effective relationships that generate sustainable opportunities and outcomes for program participants.

Proactively taking the lead, you will collaborate with internal and external stakeholders to provide exceptional customer service, consistently aiming to enhance our customers’ experiences. Additionally, you will contribute to business development strategies, operations, and initiatives that inform the overall organisational strategy.

  • Day to day responsibilities:
  • Coordinate and drive a focus on quality and compliant vocational training programs that achieve target outcomes and key performance and compliance criteria with consultation of Education & Training manager.
  • Ensure a high standard of service delivery to students by providing detailed program information, efficient enrolment procedures, quality monitoring, counselling, and support for students. Understand the challenges of working in a not-for-profit environment and its important role in the community.
  • Collaborate with peers and leaders to deliver the best outcomes for our customers.
  • Demonstrate safety leadership in every action and decision, recognising good safety practice and taking action to improve safety where necessary.
  • Lead performance of people under a Safety Framework ensuring safety of our people is a priority embracing zero harm and zero tolerance.
  • Ensure that the customer is at the heart of everything we do.
  • Inspire your team to be the best they can be to achieve operational outcomes.
  • Recognise and reward change, encourage others to identify continual improvement processes.

About You

  • Certificate IV in Training and Assessment (Essential)
  • Qualification in Health and Community Sector (Preferred)
  • Minimum 3 years’ experience in VET in the same or similar role
  • Previous experience in working within a Registered Training Organisation (essential)
  • Comprehensive understanding of compliance requirements including training and assessment practices, procedures and systems, National Standards for RTOs
  • Knowledge and experience working in an industry area covered by the Health and Community Service Training Packages (Health Services, Community Services, Disability)
  • Proven capability in driving performance and meeting outcomes and targets
  • Demonstrated experience in understanding of ASQA and Skill First Funding contracts and ACSF frameworks and requirements.
  • Sound knowledge of competency-based training and assessment
  • Ability to oversee industry consultation processes
  • Collaborate with the Quality and Compliance Specialist on validation activities.
  • Manage and maintain the learning management system (LMS) for all training programs on scope.
  • Demonstrated experience in leading teams.
  • Previous experience working in a fast paced, customer service industry, where the customer is at the heart of the business.

Additional requirements:

  • A current Working with Children Check and NDIS Worker’s Screening, or the willingness to gain one if successful. We will reimburse you the cost on commencement
  • A current and valid Driver’s Licence
  • Ability to pass a Police Check
  • To ensure the health and wellbeing of our staff and customers, Community Solutions Group requires all authorised workers as defined under the Victorian Public Health Order to provide evidence of full vaccination against COVID-19.
