With a booming, culturally rich and diverse community, and less than an hour's drive from the CBD, Melbourne's North is fast becoming the place to be!The Opportunity:A Full Time, permanent opportunity exists for an enthusiastic Mental Health Professional to join Northern Health-Mental Health Division as a Project Manager.This role requires a highly motivated individual with strong Mental Health background, who has extensive experience in organisational wide strategic development, system and service design and transformation, and proven track record of project management success.The role:The Project Manager is responsible for providing strategic, system, service design support and high-level project leadership within the NH Mental Health Division.The role requires working collaboratively with Directors and senior leadership to identify and support key areas for improvement, opportunities for growth and reform. A major component of the role is preparing leading and driving implementation of the recommendations from the Royal Commission into Mental Health.To be successful in this role you will have:
- Demonstrated experience in large scale system and service design and transformation.
- Demonstrated experience in leadership and strategic thinking.
- Working knowledge and understanding of the public health service environment, including governing legislation.
- Analytical skills in business and information management reporting.
- Demonstrated experience in project management including the planning, coordinating, implementing and evaluation of initiatives and service change.
- Highly developed interpersonal and communication skills (IT, written and verbal) and demonstrated ability to initiate, problem solve, negotiate and communicate with staff, consumers, carers and other service providers.
- Current and ongoing professional registration within their respective professional registration bodies (AHPRA) or membership with relevant Professional Association such as the Australian Association of Social Workers
- A degree or other relevant qualification in informatics, IT, Communications, Strategic Leadership.
- Demonstrated organisational and management skills in Mental Health settings, including the ability to lead key projects and manage staff and resources.
- A current driver's licence.
