Job location
Our Corporate Office is located at Thomas Embling Hospital just 15 minutes north of the city. Due to our announced expansion, we have a need for experienced like-minded professionals to join our team. Thomas Embling Hospital is a secure Mental Health, currently 134 bed, hospital providing acute care, rehabilitation, and continuing care programs. With planned expansion commencing 2024 with significant increase in access to care, we will have a dedicated Women's service and an additional medium secure men's facility. About the Role:
The Project Manager – Operational Readiness Lead role undertakes key project functions supporting the Forensicare Project Team for the Thomas Embling Hospital Bed Expansion Operational Readiness Project, to enable the timely delivery of the requirements of the project. The role takes direction from the Operational Readiness Project Control Group, Project Sponsor and Director of Organisational Project delivery to provide support under agreed priorities and time lines.
Duties:
- Provide key inputs into the development of a highly effective Project Management Office and ensure all project management activities are planned and delivered to meet scheduled requirements.
- In conjunction with the Project team: develop detailed project plans, plan, manage and deliver detailed and timely reporting, and lead specific streams of the project.
- Develop project analysis techniques, and project management methodologies to enhance processes and adding value to the overall programme.
- Develop consultative processes with key areas to ensure design, functional and operational requirements are met, and in line with efficient and effective solutions.
- Promote innovative operational solutions and assist in the development of detailed change management, operational planning, and service readiness requirements.
About You:
- Demonstrated project management experience in a similar role preferably in a health-related sector.
- Experience working in complex operating environments, including in development of project management plans, risk and issues management, complex scheduling, budget controls, procurement and other key project delivery areas of practice.
- Ability to operate independently, to problem solve and analyse complex issues and challenges, and, working with others, to develop solutions and methodologies to implement solutions – to achieve effective change.
- Highly developed interpersonal and negotiation skills, with an ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships, provide advice on processes and policies, and work effectively with a diverse range of internal and external stakeholders.
