Who will you be working with...
A Private Developer with over 20 years of experience delivering a mix of assets across Melbourne and interstate. With a combination of property developments across industrial, big-box retail, hotels, commercial, and apartments, they have every box ticked to ride the wave of the property market.
Joining a small team, you have everything on hand: legal, design, financial, and administration support, and assistance from the assistant development team to ensure you get the best results for the wider business and joint venture partners.
This is a hands-on role - they have a great name in the market due to their approach to the projects... it is a collaborative environment and a team effort - low egos and a transparent approach are how they like to operate.
You will report to the general manager, but it won't feel like it. Being flat-structured, he expects tasks to be done at a high level and likes his team to feel empowered to make decisions and do things right.
What will you be doing...
You'll be responsible for the infrastructure and civil services for three large precinct developments over $150M, including commercial and industrial development, and be a key lead for the projects. You will work closely with the General Manager and the Construction team.
- Oversight of the design of projects
- Construction programming and contract negotiation
- Engaging with the investment team, contractors and consultants
- Supporting the appointing and management of the main contractor/builder
- Manage and report on your project's budget, risk, program
- A high-quality approach - assets are built to hold, so quality is key
To be successful in this role, you must have delivered end-to-end property development projects with 8 - 10 years of demonstrated experience as a Development Manager, ideally across commercial and industrial sectors.
- Proven expertise in delivering civil construction projects from start to finish
- Project Management experience
