The role:

Join us for this exciting role to St John WA as a Project Manager- Property on a 24 month fixed term contract.

This role assists the Development Manager in delivering organisational property projects on time, on budget and to the required quality, by using best practice, industry knowledge, experience and endorsed project management methodology.

Some of the responsibilities will include, but not limited to:

  • Utilise the project management methodologies to consult affected stakeholders, develop scopes of work. Seek project endorsements and budget confirmations & monitor the implementation and delivery of the project through to completion.
  • Establish realistic and achievable objectives for the development and implementation of initiatives and agreed deadlines.
  • Monitor utilisation of resources to ensure effective and efficient progress is maintained for the project.
  • Ensure all stakeholders are kept informed on a regular basis to facilitate the project’s lifecycle.
  • Manage all allocated resources and advise the Property Development Manager of any prospective delays or obstacles to ensure resources are used responsibly and effectively to allow early identification of emerging issues with the project delivery.
  • Monitor risk to the projects and work to deliver successful project outcomes
  • Prepare and provide templates for the department to manage building projects
  • Prepare documents to enable quotes and costings for selected projects
  • Prepare tenders for contractors with the approval of the Property Development Manager
  • Coordinate the implementation and application of any policy being developed or reviewed to ensure understanding within affected areas
  • Coordinate and review invoices associated with service area activities in accordance with prevailing policy and processes, in preparation for relevant approvals

Skills and Attributes required:

  • Minimum three years’ experience in a similar environment
  • Proven experience in producing quality project outcomes
  • Practical experience within the construction industry
  • Experience in reading, interpreting and analysing building industry documentation
  • Tertiary qualification in project management or relevant field is preferred
  • Possession of a Worksafe construction induction card (white card)
  • Current C or CA class Driver’s License
