We are currently looking for an experienced Project Manager to take up this exciting new opportunity with our team in Sydney. Reporting to the Program Manager, the Project Manager will be responsible for the successful execution of medium to large projects within the Transport, Infrastructure, Smart City and Future Mobility sector.
Using your diverse industry experience and technical excellence, you will oversee and lead a team to support large asset owners by delivering key projects to enhance their efficiency and improve the value and productivity of their business. The role will involve working with both internal and external customers, so it is essential that you have excellent communication skills, a strong attention to detail, as well as proven problem solving skills.
Key responsibilities
- Successfully deliver large, complex and high-risk projects
- Manage the full lifecycle of automation projects from estimation to commissioning
- Provide effective leadership and direction to the project team
- Account and portfolio management of an industry or sector
- Update and maintain the CRM system, track, forecast and report on project performance
- Proven experience working in the industrial automation industry as a Project Manager
- Demonstrated management of the design and construction of industrial electrical and control systems, including concept, design, construction and commissioning phases
- Ability to direct engineering and construction personnel in their daily duties and overall project goals
- Proven ability to bid manage and tender, medium to large work packages
- Good understanding of contract negotiation and administration
- Proven ability to apply project management methodology
- Excellent planning and organisation skills
- A strong focus on delivering agreed outcomes
- Analytical thinker and decision maker
- Working knowledge of effective account/client management techniques
- Degree Electrical Engineering or related field, or Trade qualification
- Project Management qualification is desirable
- Experience in projects consisting of PLC/SCADA, Transport Technology (road / rail), Intelligent Transport Systems and Tunnel Systems is desirable
- Australian driver’s licence
- Must have the right to work in Australia
