As Project Manager you will be leading and managing project delivery in a multi-disciplinary team including setting clear performance and behavioural standards, managing performance, delegating responsibility and guiding and developing people.
To succeed in this endeavour, you will:
- Providing effective and strong leadership for projects so as to ensure achievement of project outcomes maximising benefits to our Client and their Customers.
- Full project planning, detailed scheduling, control and monitoring for work scope, budgets and schedules and overseeing the performance of project tasks.
- Planning and coordination of project labour and resources
- Weekly reporting
- Risk control and management
- Monitor processes to remove/reduce risks
A real endeavour, driven by you
Our work is highly complex and confidential, so there are some things you must have to fulfil this role:
- You must have and maintain a minimum Negative Vetting 1 (NV1) security clearance as required by the Commonwealth. Some engagements will require up to TSPV clearance to be maintained.
- Demonstrated expertise building and sustaining stakeholder relationships including experience communicating with influence and negotiating effectively.
- Experience managing project schedule, risk, quality, communications, budget and resources using established standards procedures and practices (technical, operational, professional and administrative).
- Experience drafting and preparing briefs, complex correspondence and reports relating to the project progress and issues in accordance with organisational requirements.
- Experience drafting and preparation of project documentation including but not limited to project plans, stage plans, procedures, exception reports, completion reports management of project risks and issues.
It is desirable if you can also demonstrate:
- Understanding of the content of Project Management Body of Knowledge (PMBOK) and its application, and the One Defence Capability Model.
- Previous Royal Australian Navy (RAN), Capability Acquisition and Sustainment Group (CASG) or Naval Shipbuilding and Sustainment Group (NSSG) experience.
- A recognised project management professional qualification (such as registered Project Manager under Australian Institute of Project Management.
