Be a safety communicator and connector
Being the best place to be, is more than just words here at the City of Cockburn. In a world of uncertainty, we need to create and sustain a safe working environment, one that drives continuous improvement, embraces design, compliance and fosters a positive safety culture. This role will also provide leadership to our Workplace Health and Safety team, comprising of 5 dedicated and passionate individuals.
We have created a new role that will focus on the development and implementation of key strategic safety projects that don’t just tick a compliance box but that build and drive safety leadership, accountability, and culture across whole of business.
We are looking for an experienced safety leader who can actively engage with all members of our workforce so that safety is a priority; building systems and programs that provide a dedicated focus and whole of business compliance-based approach to Health and Safety, while ensuring sustained support and expert counselling to our leaders.
Can you deliver the following?
- A passion and dedication for all things Health and Safety
- Inspire and influence safety behaviours across all levels of the business
- Ability to build and nurture relationships that drive a positive safety culture
- Ability to utilise data, trends and lessons learnt to drive continuous improvement
- Expert knowledge of safety management systems and legislative compliance
- Can apply creative and well-developed problem-solving skills and resources
