The Role:
Based at our Edinburgh facility, MTE is looking for a seasoned Project Manager to join our team. Ideally you will have experience in a workshop environment covering pressure vessels and/or structural mechanical piping (SMP). You will be the subject matter expert for best practice in project management and will be the ‘go-to’ due to your wealth of knowledge. This role will lead a small project team working on delivering top quality projects on a wide range of assets. You will build ongoing relationships with key stakeholders and drive projects to far exceed customer expectations. We are after an adaptable, skilled PM with expertise in all project management areas, including full project life cycle control.
Key Responsibilities:
- Establish robust delivery outcomes that ensure project requirements are met.
- Identify and manage the schedule critical path, working across customers, suppliers and internal stakeholders to ensure on time delivery of your project.
- Facilitate weekly and monthly performance metrics and reporting to analyse variances to project scope.
- Document and track any changes in project parameters, obstacles and delays.
- Deliver on contract milestones and report across the business on progress.
- Understand the scope, status and performance obligations or contractors and the project team.
- Manage external and internal customer relationships to ensure effective communication.
- Liaise between client, supplier, and company to ensure a smooth workflow.
- Create, implement and ensure compliance to any project management frameworks.
- Identify and proactively manage risks, issues and assumptions.
- Plan and manage any changes to schedule or budget and performance monitoring.
- Maintain capital / expense plan for the project with regard to budget constraints.
- Coordinate with project personnel on a daily basis to ensure work activities are completed in a timely manner.
- Managing and monitoring budgeting, timeline, and scheduling of jobs.
Skills and Experience:
- 10 years plus experience in similar role
- Qualifications in Project Management is preferred (eg: PRINCE2)
- Thorough understanding of project management methodologies
- Experience within similar industry preferred
- Knowledge of general project management programs
- Certificate IV in Frontline Management desirable.
