Project Manager

Matrix Education is Australia’s fastest growing tuition college. We are rapidly expanding our campus locations across New South Wales and interstate, with Melbourne being our next stop!

We are now hiring an experienced Project Manager to execute the end to end opening of all our new campuses moving forward.

In this role, you will be responsible for developing and implementing Matrix Education’s campus growth deployment strategy. To be successful as a Project Manager, you will need to be able to work on tight deadlines in a fast-paced environment, keep projects well organised, and have outstanding communication and negotiation skills. You have to work closely with various internal departments and external entities to ensure smooth and timely execution of our campus openings.

This role is based in our Sydney CBD head office and will require travel to potential sites, including interstate travel.

• As part of our geographical expansion plan, you need to lead the search, design, build and handover of our new campuses,
• Assisting executive team by leading assigned ad hoc projects,
• Define project scope, goals and deliverables that support business goals in collaboration with senior management and stakeholders,
• Conduct assigned project activities in alignment with project timelines and budget,
• Direct and manage application project development from beginning to end,
• Effectively communicate project expectations to team members and stakeholders in a timely and clear fashion,
• Manage and coordinate contractors, suppliers, and business partners in the delivery of project, including tracking/monitoring of performance against agreed project plans and milestones,
• Operational management for the business including any group entities,
• Managing a small team of Operations and IT support staff and liaising and engaging with external contractors as required,
• Work with internal stakeholders to support and implement solutions according to stakeholder requirements,
• Maintains solution ownership and the consulting relationship through solution delivery and beyond,
• Provide insight on company direction and strategic planning by providing executive management with ideas through business analysis and market research.
• Inspire the operations and leadership teams to implement ongoing operational excellence whilst adopting new business intelligence tools and efficient processes,
• Continually develop and maintain strong relationships with key internal and external teams to ensure successful development and execution of future projects.

• 5+ years of experience in project management. Commercial Real Estate and Development experience is preferred,
• Positive and strong leadership and interpersonal skills with ability to influence cross-functional partners,
• Demonstrable success in managing multiple projects, priorities & people concurrently across many regions,
• Excellent organisational, analytical, communication, and interpersonal skills,
• A self starter who is comfortable working independently in a fast paced, changing environment,
• Ability to multi-task, work successfully under pressure and effectively prioritise, manage time and workload,
• Collecting, analysing and tracking Business Intelligence (BI) / Business Analysis (BA) data,
• Previous experience in leasing skills and a good legal understanding highly desired,
• Ambitious, competitive, and humble and value having your own responsibility,
• Socially confident in negotiations and are not afraid to leave your comfort zone,
• Demonstrable success in managing multiple projects, priorities & people concurrently across many regions,
• Skilled at crafting and leading strategic work streams with a strong understanding of compliance needs & implementation,
• Excellent presentation skills, including extensive experience addressing every level of a large organisation,
• Bachelor or Master’s degree in Commerce, Economics or a similarly related field will be highly regarded.
