About the role:
Moxon is currently looking for a Project Officer to support the day-to-day operations of our busy sales and production manufacturing department. The successful applicant will work with a well-oiled team to ensure our customers receive first class service from quotation right through to delivery of their jobs.
The ideal candidate will have strong attention to detail in the manufacturing industry, project management experience and able to work seamlessly with customers, suppliers and colleagues.
Successful applicants must show themselves as team players who are willing to learn, be flexible, and are highly motivated, dedicated, and proactive.
Key responsibilities will include:
- Assist the Sales and Production team in all activities related to the preparation of quotes, BOM’s, Materials, Subbies, QA Documentation and Job Traveller release.
- Liaise and negotiate with suppliers regarding material and subby services
- Prepare estimates which entails determining manufacturing methodology, time per process, BOM’s
- Monitor job progress, identify risks and issues, and prepare regular reports for management,
- Work with sales team to follow upon quotes completed and obtain feedback on them
- Ensure all QA compliance documentation is outlined at the start of the job and checked during and on completion.
- Liaise with the Production team regarding job status and keep sales team and customers informed.
Key Skills
- Trade background in Fitting, Machining, CNC Machining or Fabrication
- Advanced skill in Microsoft Suite
- Good communication and interpersonal skills
- Team Player / adaptable
- Attention to detail a MUST
- Excellent time management skills and organized working style.
- Able to look at a drawing and detail each manufacturing step with estimated times per process
- Able to pull out a list of materials and hardware from the drawing
