You will be supporting a large scale Government project with the intent for this to be the first tranche of a 15-year program of infrastructure investments. You will forge a new sustainable delivery model and contribute to the delivery of projects that ultimately improve the health and wellbeing of Queenslanders.
The successful candidate will be required to perform the following:
- Provide critical advice and administrative support to program and senior management for the successful delivery of Infrastructure, Planning and Delivery technical assurance support;
- Assist in managing reporting, correspondence and analysis of financial information, as well as assist in preparing reports, submissions, briefing notes, ministerial correspondence and policy documentation as required and to inform program decision making;
- Work collaboratively within a team to develop, implement and maintain adequate policy, processes, systems and internal controls;
- Ensure projects and activities are managed in accordance with the best practice guidelines to ensure consistent and quality outcomes are achieved;
- Utilise mature interpersonal skills to develop and maintain effective working relationships with internal and external stakeholders on all project related matters by, liaising and effectively communicate (both written and verbal) directly with stakeholders; and
- Maintain innovative business improvement and efficiencies for the unit including correspondence methodologies and electronic records management.
Essential requirements for this role:
- Experience supporting large scale projects;
- Proven high-level organisational skills with well-developed communication (verbal and written) and interpersonal skills. With the ability to manage competing priorities and effectively deliver timely, accurate and high-quality work;
- Demonstrated experience in preparing, monitoring and reporting on program / project budgets and understanding of the pressures and constraints;
- Experience in identifying and analysing problems, developing and implementing remedial strategies and exercising initiative and responsibility;
- Proven experience and high-level skill in building successful relationships with internal and external stakeholders in a complex and changing environment; and
- Demonstrated ability to achieve quality outcomes autonomously and in a team environment, prioritising workload demands to meet competing deadlines.
