Government department tasked with making life easier, accessible, and equitable for thousands of individuals and families across Australia. Currently seeking for a Project Officer to join their busy team for an 7-months casual temporary assignment.
About the Role:
As a Project Officer, you will develop and manage project plans and schedules in accordance with the Agency’s project management framework. In addition, your key duties are as follows:
- Provide specialist advice and technical expertise to staff and stakeholders.
- Perform independent research work and analysis including the preparation of draft reports on
relevant project activities. - Coordinate regular project reporting including status updates and exception reports.
- Prepare draft written material including business cases, plans, executive briefs and corporate
documentation. - Monitor project budgets, review and report on expenditure and assist with procurement and
contract management. - Identify and assist with the management of project risks, issues and benefits.
- Contribute to project quality management to ensure that project deliverables are fit for purpose
and meet client needs.
About You:
To be successful in this role, you must have:
- Proven experience in a project management role
- Previous experience working within interfaces such as: health, justice, or child protection.
- Strong background in writing business cases, plans, executive
- Experience working within the disability sector is a plus!
- Ability to undertake research and analysis in a related area
- Ability to work in a virtual project team
- Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills
- Immediate start pending clearance
- Full-time hours, Monday to Friday
- Flexible working arrangement
- $60.26 per hour + super
