Your new role
The primary purpose of the role is to assist with the development and delivery of Minor New Works and Repairs and Maintenance projects, and some Capital Works projects, to maintain roads and other civil assets in the Region, ensuring projects are delivered as defined by various Project Managers and to the satisfaction of clients.
Key duties and responsibilities:
Assist with the investigation, development and formulation of the civil asset acquisition and maintenance programs for roads and other civil assets in the region
Assist the nominated Project Managers to deliver assigned Minor Works, Repairs and Maintenance, and some Capital Works civil
Conduct asset inspections and assist with the preparation of project proposals, technical reports, estimate of costs, contract documentation, procurement and contract administration/supervision documentation
Carry out all duties in accordance with Departmental OH&S, EEO and environmental guidelines
- Remote travel is a requirement
What you'll need to succeed
- Relevant experience, or a qualification in civil engineering
Good communication skills, both oral and written, as well as good IT skills
Ability to assist with preparation of designs, procurement, and project documentation, including skills in project management software and design tools
Knowledge of road and civil industry design, construction and maintenance techniques and practices, including roads, land servicing and hydraulic and best practice environmental management
Knowledge of requirements and relevant legislation and policies in the Northern Territory and Australia
- Current drivers licence, ideally manual

This role is a Designation T3 - salary is between $75,575 - $85,579 + super, pa.
