Exciting Full Time opportunity located in Herston
The role
The Project Officer, Energy and Emission Reduction will provide support for the management, coordination and delivery of Emissions Reduction and renewable energy programs relating to electricity and other energy sources (including natural gas and LPG), and for the transition to electric vehicles programs.
The role will provide administrative support, including generation of approvals documentation, collation of data and take a leading role with engagement of Queensland Health stakeholders to drive outcomes for Emissions Reduction programs. Experience with energy-related programs is desirable but not mandatory.
The successful person
You will have demonstrated:
• Support the management of the Emissions Reduction Fund and electric vehicle poegrams, including the provision of support to QH entities with contract management and financial and outcomes reporting
• Support establishment and management of Energy and Resilience Audit processes in partnership with Queensland Health entities, including identification of investment options and coordination of funding approaches
• Provide program support to Queensland Health entities in the management and coordination of utilities contracts and development and implementation of energy strategies and plans including the use of and sourcing of renewable energy options
• Monitor state and federal government targets, policies and strategies as they relate to energy policy and Emissions Reduction and maintain awareness of innovation and technology advances that support enhanced Emissions Reduction opportunities and funding and implementation options

Health Protection and Regulation Branch within the Public health Pillar is responsible for safeguarding the community from potential harm or illness caused by hazards and harmful practices, and enhancing the protective elements of water quality, fluoridation, food safety, radiation safety, medicines and poisons safety, healthcare legislation and chemical safety
