This position sits within the Enterprise-wide Portfolio Management Office (EPMO) which supports the planning, development and implementation of strategic projects and programs that enables UNSW to achieve its ambitions as a leader in teaching and research.
Why Your Role Matters: As Senior Project Officer, your focus will be offering proactive administrative and business support to ensure the efficient progression of EPMO deliverables.
Supporting the day-to- day operations of the EPMO’s dynamic and collaborative team, you’ll play an integral role in furthering the team’s ability to deliver the suite of projects and programs that address the diverse needs and interests of our staff and students. A varied and dynamic project position, your day to day will include:
Providing efficent and proactive administrative coordination and business support to the Director, Transformation & EPMO, including diary and inbox management.
Developing and managing effective communications with key stakeholders, acting the first point of contact of EPMO.
Coordinating support for meetings, townhalls, workshops and training sessions
Providing sound advice relating to project guidelines, processes and activities.
Developing and maintaining internal websites and general administrative systems.
Drafting reports, papers, responses and prepare high-level presentations.
Supporting EPMO in budget reporting and procurement activities, including monitoring expenditure and forecasting.

This role reports into the Director, Transformation and EPMO to further the EPMO’s ambitious agenda for action and collaboration across UNSW.
About you: We’re looking for a strong administrator with the drive and initiative to support the team’s ability to achieve project deliverables and outcomes. You will bring the following skills and experience:
A relevant tertiary qualification with subsequent relevant experience or equivalent.
Excellent written and verbal communication, skills, with a high level of attention to detail for deliverables produced.
Sound stakeholder management skills, with the ability to liaise effectively with a range of stakeholders.
High computer literacy, including experience with university administration systems and Microsoft Office, high competency in Excel use.
Excellent time management skills, with a demonstrated ability to respond to changing priorities, manage multiple tasks and meet competing deadlines by using judgement and initiative.
An understanding or willingness to learn of the project life cycle and documentation development.
Demonstrated ability to work collaboratively and productively within a team, but also to take initiative and work independently while managing competing demands.
