Your new company
This Federal Government agency are responsible for operating and supporting a national scheme for vulnerable Australians. They are experiencing growth within their Service Guidance branch, who are responsible for improving processes and systems for their frontline (National Delivery) staff.
Your new role
As a Project Officer, you will be responsible for undertaking project tasks oriented around the organisations legislative requirements, policies, procedures and standards. This will involve:
- Researching, drafting and updating documents in plain English, and ensuring accessibility standards are met
- Interpreting policies/legislation and translating it into guidelines that frontline staff can access and use
- Developing or updating material in response to feedback
- Providing service delivery knowledge and advice as needed to support an improved customer experience
What you'll need to succeed
To be considered for these roles, you will demonstrate:
- Excellent communication skills and ability to work collaboratively with internal and external stakeholders and represent the work area in relation to guidance development.
- Ability to interpret and draft policy and procedural information into clear and easy to understand guidance material.
- Ability to manage multiple priorities while maintaining high work standards and accuracy, meeting defined timeframes and performing other duties as requested.
- Ability to work under limited direction, guided by policies, accepted standards and precedents.
- Understanding of national disability legislation (e.g. NDIS Act 2013)
- In addition, you must have or be willing to obtain a National Police Clearance and a Disability Screening Check
