About The Role

The Arts, Heritage and Libraries branch enlivens and enriches the lives of residents and visitors through the provision of library services, creative, cultural and heritage programs.

The Project Officer (Library Services) manages the effective delivery of projects and innovative service models that align with Library plans and priorities and supports Library operations. The Project Officer informs library service delivery and reporting through data analysis, research, and trend identification.

Duties

And as we’re a busy team managing a breadth of high quality, high impact work, your exciting duties will include, but not be limited to:

  • Support the Library Operations and Customer Service Lead to deliver projects and service models, supporting library service standards.
  • Collate and prepare data analysis reports and statistics, to inform library service development, including performance monitoring, trend identification and inform management of collections.
  • Establish and maintain strong positive working relationships with internal and external stakeholders.
  • Manage the Library refurbishment budget by monitoring budget expenditure and ensuring sound procurement practices.

As a professional in projects, you will have strong project management, work scheduling, planning and organisation skills.

You will possess strong investigative, analytical, and research skills, along with highly developed professional communication and interpersonal skills and a strong customer focus.

As a requirement of this role, you will possess Diploma level qualification in Libraries, Business, Cultural / Community Development or Social Science or equivalent relevant experience
