Fantastic opportunity to work in a planning team, state government
A background in urban planning, or recreation and sports planning is ideal for this role.
Providing strategic leadership and implementing initiatives and business cases.
Client side contact is essential to this role and the ability to deal with property and assets in open spaces.
Project management experience is ideal and land use expertise in local or state government.
The successful applicant must have a real passion for project and building delivery and be a customer focused person with a strong understanding of property and facilities management.
The role
This is a 3-4 month month opportunity as a temporary contractor, working full time hours (casual weekly pay) whilst a permanent recruitment process in underway.
There is some flexibility with hybrid working which is great for your work life balance.
Skills and Experience
- Managing a small portfolio of diverse open space assets and projects
- General planning work / planning advice
- Liaise and supervise contractors as required to ensure the delivery outcomes are met and in accordance with the relevant plans, standards and regulations.
- Working closely with a wide variety of stakeholders including tenants, community groups, architects, consultants and internal departments
- Ministerials/ Briefings/ general enquiries
- Consultant scopes for costed concept designs
- A planning background
- Use of corporate technology including systems in electronic document management, land and property management, finance, customer requests, asset management systems and intranet.
- Qualifications in recreation and sports planning, urban planning or similar is ideal.
