About the Agency 
The NSW Reconstruction Authority (the Authority) is a statutory corporation within the Planning & Environment cluster. The Authority will improve how NSW plans for disasters and ensure that we recover from them faster.  
To reduce the severity and impacts of disasters, the Authority will complete critical Planning and preparation with communities, businesses and government. When disaster does strike, we will get recovery started swiftly and coordinate reconstruction efforts across agencies, communities and other stakeholders. 

 
About the role 

The NSW Reconstruction Authority are seeking applications for the role Project Officer, Clerk Grade 7/8. This is a great opportunity to join the Enterprise Project Management Office. The role provides support to the EPMO in the uptake and implementation of the project management framework, methodologies, and tools to deliver a range of complex program and project initiatives for the benefit of NSW Communities. 

Key responsibilities of this role include (but are not limited to):   

  • Provide a range of secretariat and administrative services, including coordinating meetings, preparing briefing notes and papers and minute taking to support program management and delivery. 
  • Coordinate and provide project management support and advice and apply the NSW Reconstruction Authority project management framework, methodologies, tools and standards across a range of program and project initiatives that support agency performance.  
  • Analyse processes and procedures and provide advice for continuous improvement to the broader EPMO for improved decision-making and planning. 
  • Communicate with key stakeholders to support the coordination of consultations to facilitate exchange of information and support project completion in line with project plans.

About you

The successful applicant will also demonstrate:

  • Excellent organisational and administrative skills and capacity to successfully complete competing priorities, maintain attention to detail and meet deadlines. 
  • Good verbal communication skills to provide information on project management framework and to explain these clearly and accurately to enquirers.  
  • Capacity to work independently with minimal supervision and collaboratively in a team based operating environment.  
  • Ability to deliver a range of project management and support services work within tight deadlines. 
  • Tertiary qualifications in a related discipline and/or equivalent knowledge and skills.  
  • High calibre candidates will have relevant knowledge and experience of project management principles and effective stakeholder engagement. 
  • Demonstrated experience working in a flexible and agile environment with changing demands is highly desirable, as is your experience working with diverse stakeholder groups.   
  • Experience in Project Management and Agile project methodologies is also desirable, but not mandatory.
