Our Water Operations team is currently seeking to appoint a Senior Project Officer (Strategic Planning Assurance) to continue to develop, implement, maintain and operate the processes required to effectively manage DCCEEW Water’s regulatory and assurance functions defined in the Regulatory and assurance framework for local water utilities. The role ensures effective communication with local water utilities throughout the assessment and review process including publicly publishing assessment registers and departmental decisions, working in partnership with customers and stakeholders to achieve great outcomes for the community.
About You
As a Senior Project Officer, you will manage the receipt of regulatory and assurance assessments and advise the Manager Regulatory Assessments of the resource requirements to deliver the in-hand assessments within the required timeframes.
You will also:
- Work collaboratively with internal and external technical experts to facilitate the assessment of documentation submitted by local water utilities against the relevant assessment criteria.
- Provide procedural advice on legislation, regulations, rules, and guidelines to a range of stakeholders including staff, local water utilities and consultants.
- Monitor the assessment process and escalate issues and risks to the relevant managers, ensuring effective case management and meeting of performance targets.
Candidates that have knowledge and experience in Strategic Planning processes and/or the governance, systems and processes of (local) water utilities are generally well suited to this position.
