We believe this approach, with close collaboration in all aspects of our work, will achieve stronger services and better outcomes for all people in NSW.Visit us at:Primary Purpose of the RoleThis role is in the System Reform Directorate, Strategic Planning an Projects Team and works alongside the Advocacy and Reform and System Monitoring and Reporting Teams.The Senior Project Advisor, Strategic Planning and Projects, works in a team that is responsible for:
- Developing whole of government strategic plans/frameworks to improve community mental health and wellbeing across the domains of a person's life;
- Commissioning and disseminating research and innovative initiatives to inform and support systemic mental health reform initiatives;
- Strengthening integration, coordination and collaboration across government and the broader mental health and social service system to facilitate systemic reform efforts, embedding the leadership and expertise of people with lived experience.
- Prepare frameworks and strategies that respond to emerging mental health issues and ensure they are co-designed with people with lived experience and other stakeholders and take into account the broader context across the mental health and wellbeing sector.
- Develop, lead and manage strategic projects ensuring they are co-designed with people with lived experience and caring and relevant organisations.
- Undertake environmental scanning of systemic issues relevant to the reform priorities of the Commission to inform projects and strategies.
- Extensive skills, knowledge and experience working in the mental health service system within NSW.
- Knowledge and strong analytical skills in writing reports on key areas relevant to mental health, suicide prevention or health reform.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills and the ability to organise and present complex information in a clear, logical and systematic way.
- Strong project and contract management skills.
- Knowledge and understanding of the role of the NSW Mental Health Commission and the mental health sector.
