The Project Officer Telephony role is an exciting opportunity to help shape and deliver VEC’s cloud first telephony and mobility solutions to meet business-as-usual (BAU) and election event requirements.

This role is a key member of the IT Operations & Service team within the Information and Digital Services (IDS) branch.

What you will be doing 

Reporting directly to the IT Operations Manager, this role will be responsible for: 

  • End-to-end support of telephony services and solutions for business-as-usual and election events, including the delivery of training.
  • Ongoing billing, reconciliation, cost, project and asset management for all of VEC’s telephony services and equipment.
  • Identifying telephony requirements for election events and BAU, managing procurement and developing supporting documentation.

What you will bring to the role 

  • Demonstrated experience in the knowledge and delivery of high-quality telephony solutions, services and equipment.
  • Technical expertise in telephony and unified communications including Microsoft Teams, VoIP, Call Centre and peripheral devices.
  • Demonstrated experience in procurement and cost administration.
  • Strong project management skills with experience in training delivery.
  • High-level verbal and written communication skills.
  • Ability to multitask and prioritise in a fast-paced business environment. 
  • Commitment to the VEC’s core vales.
