Where you’ll be working
You will be working with a diverse and dynamic team within the System Performance Support Branch, System Sustainability and Performance Division and based at 1 Reserve Road, St Leonards, NSW 2065. The System Performance Support Branch has the lead role in monitoring the performance of Health services by working in close partnership with health service executives, senior managers and clinicians as well as other parts of the Ministry and pillar organisations.

About the Role
The Project Officer will be responsible for supporting the Director, Whole of Health Program (WOHP) with program administrative related activities including and not limited to:
- Preparing, authoring, editing, managing and reviewing the provision of high-level communications and correspondence for approval including ministerial correspondence, briefs, policies, reports, submissions and notes to ensure the comprehensiveness, accuracy and timeliness of written information.
- Working with the WOHP Program Leads to manage all program reporting.
- Assisting with the monitoring and reporting of project benefits and outcomes achieved on a monthly basis.
- Assisting Health Districts and Networks with project management to support performance improvement.
- Coordinating and undertaking project activities to support the Whole of Health Program Team.
- Liaise, communicate and consult with key staff in public health organisations and stakeholder representatives to secure their engagement and ensure effective interface on projects.

Selection Criteria
- Demonstrated experience in project management within the health care setting, high level data analysis skills and experience leading statewide projects in health.
- Well-developed analytical skills including the ability to analyse and interpret complex information from numerous sources, prepare and present analysis and reports, deal with challenges creatively and achieve business focused solutions.
- Excellent communication (written and oral), and interpersonal skills with the ability to produce high quality written documentation and presentations in a timely manner.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office products with ability and willingness to learn other software systems as required.
- Demonstrated knowledge and understanding of Health service operations, patient flow, health priority areas and related health policy at state and national levels.
- Excellent organisational skills with demonstrated experience working in a high volume and demanding professional environment with proven capacity to prioritise competing demands, achieve business goals within tight deadlines, perform and always work with a customer focused approach.
- Tertiary qualifications in a relevant discipline, such as communications, health management, nursing, allied health, and/or equivalent experience.
