About the Role
Reporting to the Area Lead, this is a pivotal role within the Service Delivery Portfolio. As the Project Officer you will be responsible for: managing multiple natural resource management and civil construction projects on Melbourne Waters diverse range of natural and built assets.
- Ensure projects are delivered safely to minimise the risk of harm to work crews and the community
- Ensure we have up to date work schedules which meet the needs of customers and then delivering on and communicating progress against such schedules
- Deliver high levels of quality with attention detail
- Delivery projects within set budgets and managing monthly forecasts
- Valid Driver’s Licence as this role requires occasional travel.
- Help to foster a culture of Health, Safety & Wellbeing.
About you:
- You have technical or practical experience and skills in delivering projects within Natural Resource Management, Civil Construction or Water Civil Maintenance industry.
- Experience with preparing and implementing project safety documents including site hazard identification and mitigation measure.
- Management of stakeholder interactions and change(s), including negotiation with stakeholders.
- A strong focus on effectively delivering project safety, quality, financial and environmental and reputational outcomes.
- A tertiary qualification in Engineering, Project Management or Natural Resource Management is highly desired.

We have multiple full-time roles available which primarily based from South East Regional Office (SERO) in Bangholme, Brooklyn Pumping Station in Brooklyn and North East Regional Office (NERO) in Croydon. You will be required to travel to Melbourne Water locations and field sites within the designated region of Greater Melbourne. You will be allocated an operational work vehicle.
