An opportunity has arisen for an experienced Project Planner Administration to join and support the projects team. You will play a pivotal role in optimising project schedules, identifying potential delays or deviations, and communicating these issues to the project management team. This is a critical position within project delivery, responsible for ensuring the effective planning and scheduling of projects.
Your main responsibilities will include:
- Assist the project teams to complete works in accordance with the contract documentation and UON Standards and Procedures
- Assist the project team in compiling contractual claims, as required
- Effective short and long-term plans, whilst facilitating the effective planning of design, procurement, and construction
- Demonstrated ability in facilitating the project targets and producing mitigation plans, as required
- Assist in key planning and program status with regards to progress, time, cost, and contractual issues
- Advise on project planning and programming requirements
- Liaise with the project and client stakeholders
- Liaise with the pre-tender staff to produce a preliminary project program in accordance with procedure
- Review and ensure compliance with the contract documents and procedures
- Demonstrate a commitment to onsite safety and environmental control
- Throughout the construction phase review, assess the project program and mark changes, as required
- A tertiary degree in Engineering, Project Management, or similar is preferred but not essential
- 5+ years in a similar role
- Experience analysing intricate project planning issues and inter-relationships between projects
- Extensive knowledge of project scheduling tools and systems
- Extensive knowledge of Office Software, MS Project, MS Excel, Primavera P6
- Experience forecasting labour demand and cost
- Experience in dewatering, civil, earthworks and electrical projects would be ideal but not essential
