  • Flexible work environment within a highly motivated team
The CompanyOur client, The Port of Hastings Development Authority manages landside operations and infrastructure at the Port of Hastings, ensuring it remains a safe, vibrant, and sustainably developed deep-water port within an ecologically significant area.

Identified in the state's Navigating our Port Futures strategy, the Port of Hastings is the preferred hub for offshore wind power projects. The government is investing early in its redevelopment to support this sector. The development will undergo an Environment Effects Statement, recognising the port's Ramsar-listed wetland status, which is central to this new role.

The Victorian Renewable Energy Terminal (VRET) is a proposed assembly port for offshore wind components in Victoria. The Port of Hastings, specifically the 25-hectare Old Tyabb Reclamation Area, has been chosen for the terminal. • Evaluate schedules from contractors and consultants to ensure alignment with project deadlines.
  • Help establish and manage the project budget and cost control system.
  • Monitor project milestones and deliverables to meet deadlines and budget limits.
  • Process invoices, verify cost codes, reconcile invoices, and record actuals and accruals.
  • Ensure prompt handling and processing of contractor and supplier invoices.
  • Supervise project office activities for new projects.
  • Provide contract administration support to the project team.
About YouThe ideal candidate will be a proactive, detail-oriented professional who can manage complex project schedules, facilitate effective communication among stakeholders, and ensure that projects are completed on time and within budget. Additionally, you will be passionate about renewable energy and sustainable development, with a strong commitment to supporting the growth of offshore wind infrastructure in Victoria.

Required Skills And Proficiencies

  • At least two years of experience in project controls or a similar role.
  • Proficient in project management tools and software.
  • Exceptional analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Familiarity with industry-leading practices in project controls.
  • Strong understanding of project management and control principles.
  • Experience with Microsoft Project (mandatory) and Primavera P6 (preferred).
  • Proficient with Microsoft Teams, SharePoint, and Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Skilled in cost control and issue tracking.
  • Ability to manage multiple tasks and adapt to changing priorities.
