Role Summary:
The Product Support Officer is responsible for supporting Product Development activities to deliver a unified product. Working closely with the Program Delivery Principle this involves engagement with Product and Delivery teams including development partners. This involves following up on information in management reporting tools such as Jira and Confluence for release management, resource tracking and risk management enabling analysis of progress and demonstration of program control. As we seek ways to continuously improve ways of working for delivery efficiency of business value, this may involve updating business processes in support of governance and reporting activities against delivery of business milestones. Overall, the Product Support Officer contributes towards ensuring smooth running of the program with respect to system information, coordination and ways of working.
Responsibilities:
Information
Ensure timely, quality content for decision-makers and stakeholders.
Highlighting and following up on inconsistencies in the information to support product management and development in Jira and Confluence.
Analysis
Provides insight into delivery performance via information gathering and analysis.
Governance
Provision of information to Governance forums to support the program such as Risk and Release Management.
Adheres to organisational information management processes.
Communication
Provides support for the co-ordination, communication and planning of Program Delivery meetings and workshops.
Ways of Working
Documents improvements in team ways of working, including the refinement of processes.
Skills and Behaviours
Professional skills:
- Bachelor’s degree or similar in business, accounting, IT, or a related filed.
- A minimum of 2 years of experience in Project Management or a similar field.
- Previous experience in a mining sector (optional).
- Software and solution delivery lifecycle experience in product development framework.
- Proficiency in using tools for requirements management and collaboration including Jira and Confluence.
- Strong working knowledge of relevant Microsoft applications, including Word, Outlook, Excel, and Visio.
- Excellent communication skills, with the ability to bridge the gap between technical and non-technical Stakeholders.
- Takes accountability for activities and deliverables with a proactive approach.
- Exceptional analytical and conceptual thinking skills.
- Excellent planning, organizational, and time management skills.
- Adaptability and willingness to embrace change in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.
- Timely notification and escalation of data maintenance activities.
- Demonstrable improvement in data quality relating to reporting, scheduling and risks.
- Documentation is up to date and document controlled.
