Project Support Officer

Acclimatise Pty Ltd are seeking a Level 2 and a Level 3 Project Support Officer to provide support to the Pacific Patrol Boat SPO. 

This is a short turn around opportunity to commence ASAP.

About:

Within the Product Management function, the Project Support Officer will be accountable under broad direction to perform and achieve complex project administration and support activities within an integrated maritime sustainment environment. They are accountable to ensure they have knowledge of, and are able to ensure compliance with, relevant legislative frameworks, government decision-making and Defence’s mission and policy requirements. 

The Project Support Officer will provide:

• Administrative and project management support to the Project Manager in the provision of governance and assurance functions to a major maritime refit project. 
• Responsible and accountable for managing correspondence, records and data management, conducting assurance activities and assisting to ensure compliance with relevant policies and procedures. 
• The position involves a considerable level of stakeholder engagement in relation to complex issues. They will be required to identify, anticipate and respond to stakeholders’ needs and expectations to achieve outcomes, whilst ensuring that Commonwealth obligations in relation to governance, assurance and value for money are met. 
• The Project Support Officer will coordinate and contribute to the work of a team consistent to a work plan and provide advice and assistance on methods of task completion to team members. 

Desirable experience:

• Relevant experience in a project management environment, preferably in the maritime industry. 
• Strong background in administration and records management. 
• Demonstrated strength in written communications.
