The Maintenance Officer role is based in Wurrumiyanga, on Bathurst Island (TIwi Islands) and is responsible for maintaining the TITEB Training Campus buildings, plant & equipment and other structures to the highest standards of repair, presentation and hygiene. The role also supervises a cleaner and leading hand to form the maintenance team. A qualified tradesman with experience in a similar role is encouraged to apply.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
- Lead and support the Property Services Team to manage and maintain the TITEB Campus grounds, dwellings and office spaces therein and support aspects of the Milikapiti and Pirlangimpi accommodation maintenance requirements.
- Manage and support accommodation services for staff who are residents and visitors who are utilising our accommodation.
- Maintain high Work Health Safety standards to ensure a safe environment for our staff and clients.
- Manage/maintain all areas in compliance with WHS legislation and for the better practical use of tenants, staff and the client base from the public
- Have the ability to use Microsoft applications particularly, excel, word, outlook and media related platforms like Teams and Zoom to document and maintain accurate records.
- Maintain accurate records for Accommodation and assets in our internal online platforms.
- Implement strong workflows and policies that inform the day-to-day operations of the team.
- Lead and support local team members to maximise their work competencies and increase their qualifications.
- Develop strong working relationships with TITEB Division Managers, stakeholders and relevant housing and transport services.
- Administer the TITEB Accommodation Policy and relates processes including documentation and consistency with Property services delivery
- Attend to barge and logistical requirements and support other division’s when required
- Participate in Management meetings and represent TITEB in relevant forums
- Lead and influence the team to achieve their objectives/duties
