ABOUT THE POSITION
Reporting to the Business Manager, this full time role is responsible for the overall maintenance of the College property. It includes responsibility for leading the property team, overseeing contractors, maintaining essential services and ensuring all property compliance requirements are met. They will also provide project management support with the Business Manager ensuring alignment with the college’s masterplan.
Responsibilities include:
- Day to day maintenance oversight of grounds, security, capital works, waste, and general staff needs.
- Supporting the alignment with College Master Plan.
- Building, construction, as well as facility and maintenance management.
- Delivery of capital projects.
- Building systems such as mechanical, HVAC, electrical, and plumbing
- Managing budgets, contracts and using accounting systems.
- Interpreting architectural drawings and technical specifications.
- Utilising construction project management software tools, Microsoft 365 and Excel.
- Ensuring regulatory requirements, building codes, safety standards and permits are met.
- Manage, supervise and actively engage in hands on repair and multiskilled maintenance on a regular basis

Skills and experience required:
- Experience in a similar Property and maintenance role
- Qualification in a technical trade (carpentry or similar).
- Experience in managing diverse teams
- Working With Children Check

- Excellent communication, interpersonal and leadership skills.
- Capacity for building a team building and managing competing priorities.
- An ability to share the overall vision and help the school pursue its God given charter.
- A personal alignment and ownership with the school’s ethos and faith position demonstrated by an active personal faith and church involvement.
