The role
We are seeking a talented Property Services Coordinator to join our team and play a key role in maximising returns on property investments in order to contribute to MidCoast Council's long term financial sustainability.
In this position you will develop and implement property management strategies and manage a large property portfolio of operational land parcels, including maintaining accurate land registers and lease agreements.
Additionally, you will lead a team of property professionals, providing direction, support, and guidance to ensure effective property management practices. Your role will involve providing expert advice on property matters, including lease negotiations, property valuations, and asset management strategies.
Furthermore, you will contribute to the financial sustainability of the organization by maximising returns on property income and commercial investments. You will identify opportunities for property development and redevelopment projects. Moreover, you will ensure compliance with regulatory requirements and standards related to property management.
What you'll bring
The ideal candidate will possess tertiary or vocational qualifications in a relevant discipline, coupled with hands-on experience in property management, demonstrating a strong understanding of industry practices and regulations. You will showcase your leadership abilities by effectively managing a team of staff, fostering a positive culture, setting team goals, and ensuring optimal resourcing and workloads.
Exceptional verbal communication skills are essential, as the candidate will be required to consult, negotiate, and mediate with a diverse range of stakeholders. The successful candidate will demonstrate superior written communication skills, with a keen eye for detail, enabling them to prepare policy documents and council reports. Your analytical prowess will be evident through your ability to scrutinise information from various sources, identifying discrepancies and trends to inform decision-making processes.

Salary: Circa $112,000 - $134,000 p.a. plus superannuation. (negotiated based on skills and experience).
Location: This position will be based at our Administration Centre in Yalawanyi Ganya at 2 Biripi Way, Taree. You may also be required to be based from other Council sites across the MidCoast Council region.
Tenure: Permanent, Full Time.
