YOUR NEW ROLE
As a Provisional Psychologist or Rehabilitation Counsellor, this opportunity will see you identify and address the critical physical, psychological, social, environmental and organisational risk factors which may have an impact on a worker's ability to successfully return to work. You will provide strategies to address these factors in practise.
- Complete return to work case management for injured workers under the WorkCover scheme.
- Provide holistic support to help restore an individual's highest level of functional performance through relevant assessments such as Initial Needs Assessment, Functional Capacity Evaluations, Workplace Assessments and Vocational Assessments.
- Deliver Vocational Counselling and facilitate interventions, well-being programs, training and upskilling.
- Collaborate and liaise with individuals, employers, medical and other allied health professionals.
- Provisional Psychologist: Currently undertaking a Provisional Psychologist Internship with AHPRA (4+2 or 5+1 Pathway) and have a relevant Psychology qualification and Full ASORC Membership (Australian Society of Rehabilitation Counsellors)
- Rehabilitation Counsellor: Full ASORC Membership (Australian Society of Rehabilitation Counsellors) and have a Master or Graduate Diploma in Rehabilitation Counselling and an undergraduate (Bachelor) or postgraduate degree in Psychology or Behavioural Sciences OR Full RCAA Membership (Rehabilitation Counselling Association of Australasia) and have a tertiary qualification in Rehabilitation Counselling from an accredited degree program at an Institution recognised by the Association.
