As a Psychologist your responsibilities will include:
· Facilitate established evidence-based group therapy programs across Inpatient and Outpatient services; enhancing understanding of mental health concerns and the development of adaptive coping strategies for patients with a broad range of moderate to severe psychopathology.
· Contribute to a multidisciplinary approach to patient centred care.
· Assessment and crisis management support.
· Provision of short-term, solution focused individual therapy.
· Contribute to Quality Improvement Activities, including the development/expansion of therapeutic opportunities.
Pine Rivers Private Hospital (PRPH) is a 70 bed acute Mental Health Hospital located 22km north of Brisbane. It provides a range of inpatient, day patient and specialty mental health services.
We have an established Allied Health Team consisting of experienced psychologists, a Social Worker, Exercise Physiologist and RN's.
The team also works closely with nursing and admitting psychiatrists.
PRPH provides a supportive working environment, educational opportunities, free on-site and off-site parking and subsidised meals.
Selection Criteria:
The successful candidate must have experience in providing individual therapy, facilitating psych educational groups for inpatients and day patients, and be expected to participate in group meetings and supervision/review sessions.
You will be expected to work effectively within a diverse multidisciplinary team, and contribute to the development of innovative programs. Advanced qualifications and expertise in a particular therapeutic model are welcomed. Skills and experience in DBT, Schema Therapy, EMDR and/or Compassion Focused Recovery is preferred.
Membership to APS College of Clinical Psychologists and board approval re: supervision is desired.
