About us:
The Service aims to reduce the harm from alcohol and drug use as well as improve the health and wellbeing of our clients, their families, and the community. Our main office is in Rockhampton, but also provides outreach services to other areas including Yeppoon, Emerald, Blackwater and Biloela.
About the role:
The position provides advance level clinical practice in the delivery of drug and alcohol health services to clients across the Central Queensland Hospital and Health Service. The position promotes harm minimisation and primary health care principles in engaging target client groups and the broader community.
About you:
To be successful in this role you must possess a four-year degree in Psychology (Honours, Graduate Diploma) from an accredited tertiary institution and full registration with the Australian Health Practitioner Regulation Agency with a current annual practicing certificate. Appointment to this position requires the applicant to be nearing completion of a post-graduate qualification or to have proof of full registration (or eligibility for full registration) as a Psychologist with the Australian Health Practitioner Regulation Agency (AHPRA).
- Demonstrated ability to work independently, within the service and professional guidelines and deliver safe psychological services at an increasingly complex clinical level to people affected by drug and alcohol issues.
- Demonstrated high level of effective interpersonal and communication skills with the ability to effectively work in a multi-disciplinary team environment.
- Demonstrated understanding of the importance of quality, safety and risk in a healthcare environment.
- Demonstrated knowledge of human resource issues including workplace health and safety, ethical behaviour, equal employment opportunity and anti-discrimination.
Salary information:
Total remuneration value of up to $128,706 p.a. is comprised of:
- A salary between $84,086 - $112,805 p.a.
