St John of God Social Outreach, Raphael Service provides support and specialised mental health services to parents and families where the parent is experiencing a perinatal infant mental health problem and/or where there are parent-infant relationship issues. The service is based in the community and provided at no cost to client
Your role at St John of God
We are seeking applications for a Psychologist (grade 2) to join our Allied Health team on a permanent part-time basis in Geelong, Raphael Services.
The Grade 2 Psychologist is a member of a multi-disciplinary team that provides evidenced-based care to the patients of St John of God Health Care (SJGHC). Ensures practice is in accordance with the Psychology Board of Australia Code of Ethics and SJGHC policies and guidelines.
You will be responsible for the development and delivery of innovative programs that provide high-level clinical care to consumers in groups, and an individual basis across a variety of acute and psychiatric specialties.
The Position
- Provides advanced level Psychology services including a range of individualised and group clinical care based on professional training reflecting current ethical clinical practice as required.
- Provides comprehensive assessment and care planning monitoring consumer progress adjusting treatment accordingly for complex management.
- Liaise with multi-disciplinary team to promote effective communication including verbal and written feedback to referring Doctor.
- Familiar and complies with legal, ethical responsibilities to consumers, visitors and staff, inclusive of maintaining confidentiality.
You will have experience providing group programs and individual therapy to child, adolescent and adult consumers presenting with a myriad of concerns, demonstrate clinical leadership skills and ability to undertake quality improvement activities.
Successful applicants will have tertiary qualifications in Psychology and current registration with the Psychology Board of Australia. Experience running groups and providing individual therapy using CBT, DBT and Schema-Focused Therapy will be highly regarded.
